1. Membership of Poker Occasions infers no rights to individuals nor groups of individuals nor organisations.
2. The games played are as advised in each individual tournament.
3. Specific details of the tournament start times, structure, buy-in, rules and prizes can be found on each individual tournament advertisement via the Tournament Information page.
4. Entry to all events will be restricted to maximum numbers as advertised, with registration and ballot if required. A certain number of ‘direct’ entries will be available to Poker Occasions without the need to use the ballot system and are offered at their discretion. Entries may also be held back to be allocated direct by Poker Occasions to Professionals, Celebrities and Guests of Poker Occasions at their sole discretion.
5. A list of players in each competition, showing their stakes and prizes, will be displayed for the information of all participants within the Tournament Information page.
6. The wearing and displaying of ‘logos’ or ‘branded’ clothing or other is at the sole discretion of Poker Occasions.
7. Poker Occasions reserve the sole rights to all PR and marketing from their events and no publicity, including and photographs, podcasts and videos may be shown without first obtaining the written consent of Poker Occasions.
8. The best 5-card hand wins. In the event of a tie the pot will be split.
9. The maximum number of players will be dictated by table availability.
10. The betting format and structure will be decided prior to each event, depending on entry numbers, and posted on the Poker Occasions Tournament Information page.
11. The house reserves the right to alter the structure, blinds or prize structure at any time and without prior notification.
12. Seating and table positions will be determined by local rules and are not transferable unless agreed by Poker Occasions.
13. English only is to be spoken in the card-room at all times.
14. Additional rules may be posted to cover special circumstances.
15. In the event of any dispute the card-room supervisors’ decision is final. Throughout these rules "supervisor" refers to the member of staff running the competition at any particular time.
16. Specific tournaments vary in their prize payout structure at the sole discretion of Poker Occasions. Tournament winners will receive prize monies and/or physical prizes as advertised before the event, with on occasions a percentage of buy-ins retained for entry to further stages of competitions or to be give as a bonus - for example the Poker Occasions Champion is the player with the best combined score from both tournaments and currently 10% from both tournaments is retained to be awarded to the overall Poker Occasions Champion.
17. If for whatever reason a competition has to be prematurely stopped, all monies collected will be distributed at the discretion of the card-room supervisor. The considerations will be the length of time the competition has been running and the number of players left.
18. If a result has not been reached within time and it is apparent that the competition will not finish "naturally", the players will be informed that a chip count may be required. If this is required, then it will be decided by percentage of chips, pro-rata to remaining prize money and/or entry to further stages fo the competition/tournament.
19. The house shall have the right to decide if chips belonging to someone taken ill, or otherwise missing, should be removed from play. Where this applies to someone taken ill, a view will be taken on the following basis:-
a) Dependant upon the likelihood of the player returning to the game.
b) At the supervisors discretion, players who are taken ill may be granted more time to return.
20. Failure of pre-paid entrants to be seated at the start of the tournament, or to have registered on time, may lead to their buy-in and registration fee being retained if a replacement cannot be found at the sole discretion of Poker Occasions.
