Poker Occasions 2 - Champion

Many, many congratulations to Gary 'All In' Savage in being crowned the 2nd 'Poker Occasions Festival Champion' - as well as winning some nice cash, Gary has also won a trip to Las Vegas for the WSOP 2009 in June.

With over £20,000 in prize funds paid out over the weekend - we look forward to seeing you at Poker Occasions 3 in October 2009.

PokOcc 2 - Results

Well done to Chris 'the russian' Johnson on winning the 2nd event of the Poker Occasions 2 Festival on Saturday night - the Double Chance Freezeout.

Chris Beat Matt Huby Heads Up with Graeme Park finishing 3rd, and with the top 8 players sharing a prize fund of £6,430.

PokOcc 2 - Results

Congratulations to Colin 'Marakesh' Start for winning the Pot Limit Texas Holdem event on Friday night, the first tournament of the Poker Occasions 2 Festival.

Colin beat Brett Bartholemew Heads Up, with Kim 'kimmy' Roebuck finishing in third spot. Colin won £2,025, Bret £1,25 and Kim £610.

PokOcc2 - Napoleons Casino, Bradford - Information & Requirements

Some useful information on Napoleons Casino, Bradford:

To join Napoleons Casino, Bradford you just provide proof of ID on your first entry i.e. Passport or photo Driving Licence. Members benefit from:

Members have full use of cash desk facilities (being able to withdraw and deposit money from cash desk)
Members can spend and win as much as they like with no restrictions
Members are entered into all free prize draws
New members recieve a welcome pack consisting of: A free £5 bet, 2 free supper meals (midnight till 3am), A free £10 cardroom entry, A free drinks voucher (draught beer or lager/bottled beer/wine/soft drink)

The casino is open 3pm till 6am everyday, the bars 4pm till 4am everyday, the restaurant 6pm till 3am everyday.

All players taking part in the PokOcc2 Festival are welcome in the 'Saturday Club' which is a basement disco playing 70\'s, 80\'s and 90\'s music, midnight till 4am Saturday - entry is free.

A buffet will be provided to players on the Fri and Sat, and hot and cold sandwiches on the Sun (see tournament structures).

Napoleons operate a valet service, serving complimentary cold sandwiches, tea and coffee and soft drinks throughout the day.

Napoleons also have a \'light bite\' menu if customers would like to buy themselves hot sandwiches etc

The card room will be waited on, so the players do not need to leave their seats for refreshments

Valets do accept tips, but players do not have to feel obliged to leave them

Poker Occasions Festival 2 - Napoleons Casino, Bradford Fri 30 Jan - Sun 1 Feb 09

The 2nd Poker Occasions Festival (PokOcc2) will see competitors pit their skills to prove their true poker prowess in being able to 'mix it up' over one weekend of poker with 'three' distinct and separate events.

Entry to the Festival costs £250 per ticket (includes a £25 reg fee) and each ticket gives a seat in all 3 events. Each individual event will have a maximum of 96 players and will run as follows:

Event 1 on Fri 30th Jan 09 will be a Texas Holdem Pot Limit Freezeout starting at 8:00pm and finishing by 6:00am. With 96 players there will be a prize fund of £6500 awarded on the night and shared amongst the final table of 8 players.

Event 2 on Sat 31st Jan 09 is a Texas Holdem No Limit Double Chance Freezeout starting at 3:00pm and finishing by 4:00am. With 96 players there will be a prize fund of £6500 awarded on the night and shared between the final table of 8 players.

The final Event 3 on Sun 1st Feb 09 will be a Texas Holdem No Limit Speed Freezeout starting at 3:00pm and finishing by 6:00pm. With 96 players there will be a prize fund of £6500 awarded on the night and shared between the final table of 8 players.

A mixture of 'real' prizes and 'cash payouts' is in keeping with the nature of the Festival and its flavour of 'mix it up' to be the best - in addition to winning cash prizes in each event, 10% from each tournament will go towards the overall Festival Champion prize for the player who can truly 'mix it up' and return the best results (lowest score) having played in all 3 tournaments with points awarded for finishing position in each tournament - based on 96 players, the first eliminated will gain 96 points, 2nd eliminated 95 points.... 2nd place 2 points, winner 1 point.

The Festival Champion's prize will be a trip to Las Vegas for the WSOP 2009, with flights and accommodation booked and paid by PokOcc plus $1500 spending money - enough for a buy-in to a WSOP Main Event! - and this Festival Champion prize is GUARANTEED.

With 3 separate tournaments giving players 3 separate opportunities to 'make the money', a 'final table' finish IN JUST ONE EVENT GUARANTEES AT LEAST WINNING MORE THAN THE FESTIVAL TICKET COST. It will however be the player who can prove they can 'mix it up' to be the Festival Champion and win the fantastic first prize of a trip to the WSOP 2009, travelling on 12th and 20th Jun.
