We can now confirm that Poker Occasions 3 will be a £100 Freezeout with the added value of a trip to the WSOP 2010 in Las Vegas in June 2010, and the event will be held on Saturday 10th October 2009 at The Fortune Rooms, Bangor, Northern Ireland.

Poker Occasions are proud to host the Great Britain & Ireland 'Poker League Championships' in association with Dusk Till Dawn, Europe's Premier Poker Venue.

The Great Britain & Ireland 'Poker League Championships' will be held over the two days of Friday 7th August and Saturday 8th August 2009 and will play host to two separate tournaments; the

Gt Britain & Ireland 'Poker League Team Championships', consisting of 60 teams with 4 players in each team and with the Team Champions being decided by the team who return the best results (lowest score) from all 4 team members' finishing positions - based on 240 players, the first player to be eliminated will win 240 points, the 2nd eliminated 239 points .......... 3rd position gets 3 points, 2nd gets 2 points and the overall winner gets 1 point.  Shuffle up and deal at 7:00pm.

Gt Britain & Ireland 'Poker League Player Championships', consisting of 240 individual entries made up from all team members who entered the Team Championships.

With action starting on Friday night it will be fast and furious with fierce inter-team rivalry - and not only for the desire to be crowned Team Champions and Player Champion and walk away with the prize fund, but moreso for the coveted 'bragging' rights!

Players from any poker league based in Gt Britain or Ireland can enter - be it a pub poker league, a casino poker league or indeed an online poker league.  The cost of entry for the whole weekend is £100 + £10 per player (£50 per team member for the Team Championships and £50 per player for the Player Championships) - that's £400 (+£40) per team to take part in both tournaments.

On Friday 7th doors open at 5:00pm and all new members need to have pre-registered and bring photographic id.

Doors open on Saturday 8th at 4:00pm with shuffle up and deal at 5:00pm
